We are an “all weather” holiday program. We will not cancel the program if it is raining. In fact, in the rain is where the magic happens! Pack a rain jacket and spare everything.

Please note, each site has an undercover area where we can have fires and keep warm and gather to in heavy rain or storms.

Who runs it?

Experienced Teachers and Outdoor Educators with a focus on unstructured play in nature. We are fully insured and have an excellent safety record. We run all year round operating primarily as a Forest School for 0-15yrs, so we are excellent at holding space for children to explore and BE KIDS!

Can i stay with my child?

The Program is generally a drop off and runs from 9-3pm. If you wish to stay with your child, you are more than welcome!

Ratios

Our ratio is 8:1 maximum programs and 4:1 for NDIS bookings.

NDIS and Inclusion

Roughly 20% of our clients have NDIS support. We find that our programs are excellent for neurodivergent children and our staff are well trained and equipped for working with your child outdoors

NDIS bookings are invoiced privately to your plan manager or to you directly if you are self managed. Please, if you are covered under NDIS, email us the details of the plan to bushmagicadventures@gmail.com and the program you wish to book.

Our ratio for NDIS children is higher and we have a full inclusion policy to send you to outline all the ways we provide extra support for your child. We therefore invoice you at the NDIS rate ($30/hr -$180/DAY) under Capacity Building Funding to ensure we give higher levels of support for your child. We also have 1:1 support workers who have been trained under therapy supervision and have thorough knowledge of forest schooling AND Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, cerebal paulsy, PDA profile and other disabilites. If your child needs 1:1 support and you have core funding, you can request this seperately via email.

What is a forest school?

Bush Magic is not a registered school. We offer Outdoor Education programs, facilitated by qualified Teachers using a forest schooling pedagogy. If you wish to discuss your families needs and desires to attend our program during Term time, please get in touch with Simone or Katrina at bushmagicadventures@gmail.com and we are happy to discuss with you how we can best serve you and your childs desired outcomes xx
