after school

Do you want to provide some outdoor play for your children after a long day in the classroom? Research shows that children need more time with unstructured outdoor play in our current “inside generation” world.

We offer Term bookings, half term bookings and casual visits for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday after School Program

Tuesday at Dapto (Don’s Farm, end of Avondale Rd)

Wednesday & Thursday at Mt Keira (Mt Keira Girl Guides Camp)

330-530pm (term 1 & 4)
330-515 (term 2 & 3)

The program is operated by qualified teachers, school counsellors and outdoor education trained facilitators.

Our philosophy is on child led unstructured play in nature, where children can immerse themselves in all the beauty and adventure nature has to offer. Our role as facilitators is to create a safe environment for children to flow and work on their connection to nature, their relationship with themselves and others.

We offer a range of programs for children and families under our forest schooling pedagogy including

0-5yr playgroups
3-6yr Nature Play (drop off)
Bush School 5-14yrs

Adult nature immersion

This allows them to develop their interests and abilities through practical hands on experiences.

Activities include

Cost and Ratios

The term program is discounted at $36 a session and priority is given to children enrolled in the Term Program.

Other options include a half term option and casual bookings, which are dependent on our Term Booking numbers and Student:Teacher ratio.

Our ratio is 8:1 maximum for our 5-14yr programs and 4:1 for NDIS bookings.

What happens if we are sick?

There are no refunds for sickness

You can however make up another session at another after school program at one of our other venues at any time during term only

NDIS

NDIS bookings are invoiced privately to your plan manager or to you directly if you are self managed. Please defer payment if you are covered under NDIS and email us the details of the plan to bushmagicadventures@gmail.com

Our ratio for NDIS children is higher and we have a full inclusion policy to send you to outline all the ways we provide extra support for your child. We therefore invoice you at the NDIS rate ($30/hr -$180/DAY) under Capacity Building Funding to ensure we give higher levels of support for your child. We also have 1:1 support workers who have been trained under therapy supervision and have thorough knowledge of forest schooling AND Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, cerebal paulsy, PDA profile and other disabilites. If your child needs 1:1 support and you have core funding, you can request this seperately via email.
